Scubapro Buoyancy Compensators

Care

The SCUBAPRO BCD's is almost maintenance free. It should be rinsed with running clean fresh water after use, just as should any diving equipment. Water entering the buoyancy bag during normal operations should be drained out after each dive by holding the Jacket upside down and opening the purge valve held below the Jacket. Rinse the inside of the Jacket with fresh water by opening the oral inflation valve and running water through the mouthpiece. Then drain the water out.

Maintenance

The SCUBAPRO BCD's must have special preventative maintenance when used in chlorinated water (swimming pools) because of the detrimental effects that the acids and chlorine may have on various materials used. After each use in a swimming pool, the BCD's must be thoroughly rinsed with running fresh water and allowed to dry completely before storing.

Caution

To help preserve the richness of the fabric color, strength and integrity of the material, you should:

Rinse the jackets with running fresh water after use in a chlorinated water (swimming pools) because of the detrimental effects of the acids and chlorine.

Thoroughly dry your jacket and store it in a cool, dry and unlighted area.

Keep your jacket out of sunlight and away from sunlamps or florescent lamps when not in use, to reduce fabric fading and deterioration.

Repair

SCUBAPRO has designed and manufactured the SCUBAPRO BCD's of durable materials for repair-free operation. Depending upon the location and severity, some types of tears or punctures can possibly be repaired by sending the Jacket to SCUBAPRO or to an Authorized SCUBAPRO dealer. Repair parts and kits for the valves and inflators may be obtained from any Authorized SCUBAPRO dealer.

New AirFlex Technology System and its high capacity bladder, T-Black provides the highest buoyancy lift of any of our T-line BCs. With its bungee enclosures, AirFlex offers extra stability and allows for quick deflation. All jackets need a minimum internal volume to allow sufficient air to be injected inside to reach neutral buoyancy and, when needed, to create lift for the ascent and flotation on the surface. European Union norms require a minimum lift capacity in relation to the size of the tank used, measured in kilograms. The right lift is a comfort and a safety issue because a jacket also needs to be streamlined to reduce drag in order to save energy when swimming. T-Black Lift capacity by size : XS:14kg, S:18kg, M:22kg, L:23.5kg, XL: 27kg.
